I used to think there was nothing worse than the frustration of not getting the results that I wanted in my life – than putting the work in and doing my best and still falling short.
But then I started to recognize that more often than not I was falling short because I was sabotaging myself and working against myself. That self sabotaging behavior really pissed me off. It also proved me to that I deserved everything that I got.
But then I realized it also meant that I had control and that I had the ability to change things. I realized that if I could stop working against myself then I could start getting what I wanted.
Wow. That was powerful. It’s especially powerful now that I’m actually seeing it come to fruition.
But it can be really hard to see when we’re doing it. So here are some signs to look for to tell if you’re holding yourself back or self-sabotaging.
I share what self-sabotage sounds, looks, and feels like so that you can start to recognize where you’re doing it to yourself too.
And the good news is, once you see it you can work on fixing it.
