I found early in my journey that the same struggles I was having with my sales and building my business were also affecting me in all my other relationships, including as a husband and a father, and were contributing to my struggle with anxiety and depression. In the end, I was seeking to be a better man. If you suspect that might be your path too, check out today’s message.
Are You Being The Best Man You Can Be?
The true strength and power of a man is to bring order to chaos. In exercising your strength you’re able to protect and support those around you. As you embrace your power and strength, your impact on the world increases with your expression of your desire and creativity.
But what’s in the way? If these are my innate strengths and abilities, why aren’t I expressing them already?
A couple things have to happen first. Namely, you have to be willing and able to face your fears and enter into your pain.
We’ve all been hurt. Most of us before we could do anything about it or protect ourselves. It was in those moments we learned about how the world worked and the risks we face. That was when we developed our self-protective behaviors, which served us at the time so we moved on.
Now is the time, as a man, to go back and revisit those lessons. Face that anger and enter the sorrow and disappointment in order to free yourself from it’s grasp.
Once you’re able to to face your fears and enter into your pain, you’ll heal and be able to once again embrace your joy. With this, you’ll enter once again into your full strength and power.
From that space, you will recognize it is not your role to fix or control those around you, but to care for and support them.
You’ll know that the legitimate purpose of anger is to destroy injustice and prevent harm, not to punish or manipulate others or to punish yourself with depression, anxiety, or shame.
And you’ll be able to share yourself with the world authentically and confidently. In this state, as the best man you can be, you can build your empire and impact the world as the natural outcome of who you are and what you do.
Doesn’t that sound better than “work harder”?
